Rhinoplasty surgery experince
Posted August 27, 2008 9:32 AM
This is what this patient had to say 1 week after having a rhinoplasty (nose Job) surgical procedure.
“It was a lot more comfortable then I thought it would be. I was very nervous about the whole process, about coming in, about the anesthesia, about the pain. And I have honestly felt no pain whatsoever. The only thing I felt for a couple of days was a little nauseous, but besides that I have no pain whatsoever.”- Patient

Stop Summer Sweating
Posted May 27, 2008 10:33 AM
Do you suffer from severe underarm sweating? At Williams Rejuva Center we can help with treating this condition called Hyperhydrosis.
Botox is FDA approved for severe underarm sweating when topical agents don't work. Botox treatment helps control this condition by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. When the sweat glands don't receive chemical signals, the severe sweating stops.
You should notice a significant reduction in underarm sweating within 4 weeks of your first treatment. There is a possibility that some sweat glands may be missed, and you may continue to experience some sweating from the untreated areas. If this were to happen you should contact us and schedule a follow up.
In a clinical study, the median duration of response in Botox patients was 201 days or 6.7 months. It is not a cure; your symptoms will return gradually, and you will know when the time is right for another treatment.

Laser Hair Removal
Posted May 27, 2008 9:53 AM
At Williams Rejuva Center we use the GentleLase Laser for Laser Hair Removal. The laser emits a gentle beam of light which passes through the skin to the hair follicle where it is absorbed. The energy is transformed into heat which destroys the hair follicle.
Laser Hair Removal only works for patients with DARK hair color. Unfortunately it will not work for patients with Blonde, White, Gray, or Red Hair.
Hair grows in 3 different stages: Growth, Dormant, and Falling Out. For Laser Hair Removal to work the hair needs to be in the growth phase. While your hair grows in different phases, they do not grow in the same phase at the same time. Most patients will need 4 to 7 treatments 4 to 6 weeks apart.
Side effects include the treated area may become pink or red within 30 minutes, this may last from an hour to several days and can be relieved with the application of ice or cooling gels.
Pre treatment instructions:
1. All patients need to be at baseline skin color and should not use tanning beds for 3 months or self tanners for 2 weeks prior to treatment. Tanned patients will not be treated.
2. Stop using Retin-A, Triple Action, Tazorac, Differin, Benziclin, Benzylperoxide, Avage, Doxycyclin, Tetracycline (Tetra), and Minocyclin (MCN) 3 days prior to Laser treatment unless told otherwise by cosmetic nurse specialist.
3. Do not tweeze, wax or use chemical depilatories 6 weeks prior to treatment. The area may be shaved. If you do not shave the same day as treatment and the cosmetic nurse specialist has to shave the area you are having treated this will be considered part of the treatment time.
