Question: I had the lap band done last year and I have lost close to 100 pounds. I think I look good except I have a lot of extra skin that just does not seem like it will go away on its own. Is this the sort of thing that a belt lipectomy fixes?

Question: Is a belt lipectomy the same thing as a body lift?

Answer: A belt lipectomy does involve removing excess skin and fat along the tummy, thighs and buttocks. A body lift does the same thing but a body lift also involves lifting and elevating the thighs much more than a simple belt lipectomy.

Answer: A belt lipectomy as the name implies is a type of procedure that has an incision that goes all the way around the trunk just like a belt. It involves removal of excess skin and fat along the tummy, thighs, hips and buttock area as well.
