Fellowship Year 2008-2009
Edwin F. Williams, III, M.D., FACS, is a member of the fellowship program of the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS). The AAFPRS fellowship requires a year of specialized facial plastic surgery training under the guidance of an AAFPRS surgeon. Dr. Williams has participated as a fellowship director in the program since 1999 and has fostered the surgical expertise of 9 facial plastic and reconstructive surgeons.

Dr. Cory Yeh grew up in southern California. He developed an early passion for art and music and was trained as a concert pianist, winning numerous awards at state and national piano competitions. He received his Bachelors degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University and was awarded University Distinction for outstanding academic achievement.

Dr. Yeh was also elected to Phi Beta Kappa, a national honor society, in recognition for the breadth and diversity of his educational pursuits. After graduation, Dr. Yeh entered Stanford University Medical School. At Stanford, he was chosen as a teaching assistant for multiple medical school classes and was elected president of the medical student body by his peers. Dr. Yeh had the unique opportunity to direct the Stanford Medical Youth Science Program, an organization that promotes the representation of ethnic minority and low-income groups in the health professions. Following his medical school training, Dr. Yeh completed his surgical internship and Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery residency at Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts. During residency, Dr. Yeh studied novel approaches to the treatment of facial nerve paralysis and was drawn to a career in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr. Yeh has published articles, and presented research nationally relating to plastic and reconstructive surgery of the head and neck. He plans to continue to advance the field of facial plastic and reconstructive surgery throughout his career with further publications as well as teaching and educational efforts.

Following his fellowship (2008-2009) with Dr. Williams, Dr. Yeh will dedicate his practice to facial plastic and reconstructive surgery for both children and adults.

Obviously, a decision to have surgery on a child's ears should be a well informed decision and something that both the parents and the child wish to proceed forward with.
