Radiesse is a longer lasting cosmetic dermal filler made of Calcium Hydroxylapatite. Radiesse can be used to fill in and reduce the appearance of scars. Results of this cosmetic enhancement are fully evident within one week. Radiesse can last two years or more, but touchups may be necessary throughout this time period. No allergy testing prior to treatment is needed because Calcium Hydroxylapatite is found naturally in your bones and teeth. The Calcium based microspheres are suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the scar through a safe and minimally invasive procedure. The Radiesse is placed under the dermis and subcutis layers of the skin where it is able the stimulates the growth of new collagen.
