| Tretinoin (Retin- A)

Dr. Edwin Williams feels the first step in a non surgical cosmetic program is to begin using Tretinoin (Retin-A). Tretinoin is the active ingrediant found in Retin-A. Dr. Edwin Williams is a board certified facial plastic surgeon that has formulated a seris of prescription strength creams in a creamier nonirritating base that contain active ingredients which have been scientifically proven to reverse sun damage and stimulate collagen production. He feels that patients should use creams of prescription strength to be most effective. These creams should be the foundation of your skin care.
Tretinoin was developed more than 25 years ago as an acne treatment. Nearly 10 years ago, it was promoted as an anti-aging product effective in treating wrinkles. That event led to several things, many patients were complaining of their skin was becoming red, oozing or peeling because they were applying it incorrectly in order to look younger more rapidly. Needless to say, it doesn't work that way. Dr. Edwin Williams believes in educating his patients on the use of these products.
How to apply your Tretinoin:
- Use at night only
- Start out using your product every other night then work you way to every night
- Wash your face
- Wait 20 to 30 minutes
- Apply a pea size amount of cream to your finger
- Dab the cream around your face and rub it in
- Do not apply directly to the skin under your eyes. You may apply the product to the crows feet area.
