NASAL TIP REFINED

Many patients are interested in Rhinoplasty to improve the shape of the nasal tip. Terms used to describe this condition include a morpheous or bulbous tip and it is characterized by fullness resulting from a thick nasal skin or from large overdeveloped lower lateral cartilage. The amount of refinement may be limited in patients that present with thick nasal skin however, when the bulbosity is the result of overdeveloped lower lateral cartilage, sculpting or refining can result in a more aesthetically pleasing nasal tip that is in alignment with the upper part of the nose. This can often be accomplished using an endonasal technique however, in some patients it may require an external approach depending on their anatomy. Dr Williams is a board certified facial plastic surgeon and preforms surgical Rhinoplasty procedures as outpatient surgeries at the New England Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Center.
