New England Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Center is committed to providing a competent, and efficient team of registered nurses and physicians with the primary focus being the health care needs of the patients.
Within the building of New England Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Center is located a free standing ambulatory surgery center under the direction of Edwin F. Williams III M.D. F.A.C.S. and a nursing staff specifically trained in facial plastic surgery. The surgery center is composed of a pre-operative area, two fully equipped operating rooms and recovery room to offer the patient comfort and safety.
Regulatory Agencies: New England Laser and Cosmetic Surgery Center has been approved by the New York State Department of Health and is accredited by AAAHC. The facility complies with all the strict guidelines and standards mandated for operating rooms.
Anesthesia: Procedures are performed using safe and reliable anesthesia. A highly trained Board Certified Anesthia Provider monitors you throughout the entire procedure/procedures. The anesthesia used for facial cosmetic surgery does not have the common side effects that are associated with general anesthesia.
Before Surgery: Once you have made the decision to have surgery you will speak to our patient care coordinator to arrange for a convenient time to schedule a pre-operative visit approximately 2-3 weeks prior to your schedule date of surgery. During this visit you will receive clear instructions on what to do and how to care for yourself after surgery. It will be determined at this time if it is necessary to schedule any pre-operative lab tests. Two - three days prior to your surgery, the surgery center will call you with a specific arrival time.
During Surgery: You have the undivided attention of two physicians, your surgeon and a Board Certified Anesthia Provider. The nursing staff specializes in facial plastic surgery and is made up of registered nurses and operating room technicians whose main focus is patient care.
Recovery: You will be monitored in the recovery room by a highly qualified registered nurse, The approximate time spent in the recovery room varies depending upon the procedure and each individual. You will be able to return home following your surgery. For your safety you will need a,competent adult to stay with you the first night after surgery. If you don't have someone to stay with you a member of the staff at NELCSC can arrange to stay with you.
