Perimenopause typically refers to the years leading up to menopause or loss of the menstrual cycle in women. This is when the symptoms are usually most intense for women. These symptoms include hot flashes, night sweats, irritability, insomnia, anxiety, decreased libido, joint and muscle aches and pains, heart discomfort, among others. During perimenopause we want to focus on the prevention of osteoporosis and osteopenia. We want to optimize every patient's health so they feel their most vital and improved quality of life. We want to preserve memory, provide growth and repair of the body, address heart disease and by replacing deficient hormones we are able to correct these imbalances in the body.
