As we age we lose volume, particularly in the upper portion or cheek area of the face. This can result in additional sagging in areas of the lower face affecting one's jowles, nasolabial folds, and marionette lines. Juvederm adds volume to your face by augmenting the cheek area so the entire face appears more revitalized and 'lifted'. Depending on the amount of correction needed, Dr. Edwin F. Williams may recomend either Juvederm Ultra or Juvederm Ultra Plus.
The FDA has approved Juvederm to last up to one year. Depending on the area treated, some patients are even seeing up to 18 months of cosmetic results from their Juvederm. Juvederm is produced by Allergan, the makers of Botox® Cosmetic.
