Juvederm - Layering Technique

At the Williams Rejuva Center we strive to offer our patients the ideal outcome to improve fine lines and wrinkles. Facial folds such as those on the sides of the mouth are the most difficult to correct. Wrinkle reduction is performed with the latest technology using a new layering technique.

The layering process begins by placing Radiesse deep in the layer of skin to stimulate the deep collagen layer effectively. Radiesse is made up of tiny smooth calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) microspheres which form a scaffold of sorts on which the body's own collagen can grow. Treatment results in an immediate plumping of the skin during the first three months, along with extended correction for up to twelve to twenty-four months as new tissue regenerates.

The next step in the layering process uses a Hyaluronic acid like Juvederm Ultra. Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance that already exists in the body, therefore no allergy testing is required. Juvederm is a softer filler than Radiesse making it ideal for the middle layer of the skin. Think of the pillow top on a mattress: Juvederm is the softer pillow top and the Radiesse is firmer support.
