Frown lines and wrinkles are the product of overactive muscles and skin laxity. Treatment options depend on the cause and severity of the furrows, lines or wrinkles should be individually tailored to the patient's condition. In some patients, BOTOX® Cosmetic therapy is sufficient to soften the scowling appearance of the overactive brow muscle. Younger patients are increasingly seeking this minimally invasive non surgical therapy to rejuvenate their look and prevent aging. Deeper wrinkles may require a soft tissue filler such as Restylane or Radiesse, in order to achieve the best cosmetic outcome. Other patients who have significant brow droop which may be better served by brow-lift surgery. Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon Dr. Edwin Williams has employed a combination of methods when suitable to correct the complex nature of frown lines, furrows and wrinkles.
