Breast Implants-See the difference for yourself!

February 18, 2009 by Dr. Williams

Dr. Alain Polynice had several patients ask him about the difference with silicone breast implants from 20 years ago to today.  He decided to answer that question by cutting a 20 year old silicone breast implant and a cohesive gel implant (also known as a gummy bear implant) of today.  You will be blown away by the difference!! I was.  Watch his video demonstrating the 20 year difference

If you would like to ask Dr. Polynice any questions about breast implants, please feel free to contact him either via our contact page or by calling 518-786-7000.

Lower Body lift with Little Discomfort!!!

January 2, 2009 by Dr. Williams

Dr. Polynice performs amazing surgery!  Yesterday I saw the results of a patient who had a lower body lift and you could actually see the results only days after surgery, even with the post operative swelling.  Dr. Polynice will often offer the newest in pain relief.  It’s called “ON-Q” Post-op Pain Relief System.

This pump consists of a very thin soft drain or tube that acts sort of like a soaker hose that dispenses a small amount of local anesthesia slowly over a period of  days.  The patient could not believe how easy this made her first few days of recovery.  To learn more go to Dr. Polynice’s Body Contouring web page

Rhinoplasty surgery experince

October 28, 2008 by Dr. Williams

This is what this patient had to say 1 week after having a rhinoplasty (nose Job) surgical procedure.

“It was a lot more comfortable then I thought it would be. I was very nervous about the whole process, about coming in, about the anesthesia, about the pain. And I have honestly felt no pain whatsoever. The only thing I felt for a couple of days was a little nauseous, but besides that I have no pain whatsoever.”- Patient

Stop Summer Sweating

May 27, 2008 by Dr. Williams

Do you suffer from severe underarm sweating?  At Williams Rejuva Center we can help with treating this condition called Hyperhydrosis.

Botox is FDA approved for severe underarm sweating when topical agents don’t work.  Botox treatment helps control this condition by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands.  When the sweat glands don’t receive chemical signals, the severe sweating stops.

You should notice a significant reduction in underarm sweating within 4 weeks of your first treatment.  There is a possibility that some sweat glands may be missed, and you may continue to experience some sweating from the untreated areas.  If this were to happen you should contact us and schedule a follow up.

In a clinical study, the median duration of response in Botox patients was 201 days or 6.7 months.  It is not a cure; your symptoms will return gradually, and you will know when the time is right for another treatment.

Click Here to see our TV Interview on Hyperhydrosis or Click Here to read an article on Hyperhydrosis.

If you are interested in scheduling an appointment or have any questions, please contact Williams Rejuva Center at (518) 786-7004.

Scultpra

March 5, 2008 by Dr. Williams

Scultpra is expected to be FDA approved for “volumizing” the face very soon for the cosmetic patient.  It is currently FDA approved for creating volume in patients that have a “drawn” appearance due to a medical illness.  Here is what Chris, our office manager, had to say regarding her treatment that was performed today.  “The anticipation of the procedure was much worse that the actual procedure itself.  A numbing cream was applied to my face for about 30 to 40 minutes before the procedure and I relaxed in a quiet spa like setting with soft lights and soothing music in the Rejuva Center while the numbing cream was taking effect.  The Sculptra was placed in my mid face area.  I want to see a more rested look for under my eyes a

The Concept of Mini Botox

December 26, 2007 by Dr. Williams

The concept of Mini Botox ™ is to have the smallest amount of Botox used to gently relax the muscles that cause wrinkles, without “freezing” your face. Overdone Botox can leave your face looking a bit “frozen”. A natural result is what we seek to accomplish. Review the cost savings chart on the website to see how you can save with Mini Botox.
