Do Weekend & Full Facelifts Yield Same Results?

Question:

I would love a mini facelift, but I don’t really know what it is. Is this procedure less invasive than a complete facelift? Does it provide the same results and last as long?

Answer:

The mini-facelift also goes by several other names, one of which we refer to as a weekend facelift. It is a small incision around the ear taking about 1.5 hours to perform and it can be done under local anesthesia or local anesthesia with sedation and it is done as an outpatient. We refer to it as a weekend facelift because many patients have this done so that they can return to their activities in a few days. Sutures are removed on Day 6 and those patients take Tylenol for the discomfort for the first few days.
