In what way does hormone management relate to the aging of the body?

Question:

In what way does hormone management relate to the aging of the body?

Answer:

One of the theories of aging is hormonal loss. In other words, our hormones do not decline just because we are aging, but we actually age because our hormones are declining. So the idea is to restore our hormone levels to youthful levels, the levels you had at age 25 for example. So we want physiological healthy youthful levels of hormones in the body and that causes the body to function more at that age than in a state of hormonal loss. The hormones we typically target for women would be estrogen, progesterone, testosterone, DHEA, cortisol, and for men primarily cortisol, DHEA and testosterone. It is very critical to have these levels checked and to optimize the aging process to have them replaced to physiological levels.
