Rhinoplasty Nasal Reconstruction Before and after pictures in Latham, NY, Patient 28700
This is a 16 year-old who was born with a cleft lip/palate nasal deformity. She was initially cared for by an excellent plastic surgeon who repaired her lip and palate. The ideal timing to perform rhinoplasty in this challenging situation is when a child reaches about 16 years of age. She had difficulty breathing and presented with her mother. After a lengthy consultation discussing the limitations, she underwent a nasal reconstruction and rhinoplasty. She has a much more harmonious nose on frontal view but the most revealing improvement is on her angled view and her profile view which brings her nose in much more alignment making it virtually undetectable that she has had to deal with this issue based on the results. She is extremely pleased and also has the added benefit of being able to breathe now through her nose for the first time.
