As you can see in this picture, this patient has what is referred to as a heavy brow. In the before picture, you are not able to see her upper eyelids, due to not only excess skin on her upper lids, but also because her brow has dropped. In the after picture you can now see her upper eyelids and her brow was restored to a more youthful look. An upper eyelid blepharoplasty was performed at the same time.

As you can see, this patient had what we refer to as a heavy brow. Creases in her forehead were most probably formed from her subconsciously holding her brow up. In the post op view you can see that heaviness has been lifted. Her eyes are more visual. The Midface lift gives her a more pronounced jaw line. She is pleased with the cosmetic surgery results. An upper lid Blepharoplasty was performed at the same time as the Browlift that gives her more of an upper eyelid show. Now you can actually see her eye shadow! After her recovery, she decided to have a filler of Juvederm in her lips for a plumper smoother appearance. The improvement along her cheek, lines around the corner of her mouth and a more defined jaw line are seen from this angled view as a result of the Midface lift. This patient underwent a facelift, browlift, upper and lower blepharoplasty and a chemical peel on her lower eyelids. Overall she conveys a much more youthful appearance. In regard to the browlift her brows are now elevated back up over the bony orbital rims giving a refreshed appearance.

A Browlift/Midface lift was performed along with a Fat Transfer (Fat Contouring) under the eyes, around the mouth, along the jawline and in the cheeks. This patient not only had laxity in her skin, which required a surgical lifting procedure, but also had a loss of volume (fat). After lifting the underlying tissue from the brow, sometimes it's necessary to remove a small amount of tissue from the upper eyelid. The cheek or fat pad was repositioned through a hidden incision in the hairline(this accomplished the Midface Lift). The Midface Lift along with volume replacement smoothed out deep lines around her mouth and nasal area and created a more defined jawline. This close up picture of her eyes shows how the Browlift created a brighter look. Notice the level of her eyebrows have not changed. This is a 56 year old female from Ganesvoort, NY. This a middle-aged woman presented to have her upper eyes and brows addressed. She was not only having problems seeing but by the end of most days, she was not only extremely tired but was also tired of looking tired. She did extensive research and sought a consultation with Dr. Williams, an expert in facial rejuvenation. Her issues were primarily confined to the upper eyes and forehead, so she underwent an upper eyelid tuck and forehead lift, which is commonly referred to as a brow lift procedure.
