This gentleman has always felt that his eyes were the best feature of his face. It Is somewhat genetic that he developed bags, puffiness and excess skin on his upper eyelids. He states that he looks like his father so with the support and encouragement of his wife, he decided to have an upper and lower lid blepharoplasty performed by Dr. Williams. He had minimal swelling and bruising and is absolutely thrilled with his results. He feels that he now looks 20 years younger. In this photograph, he is shown 1 month after surgery.

It started to bother her that people stopped complimenting her on her eyes as they have for many years and she felt that the heaviness and hooding on her upper eyelids made her look tired. She underwent Dr. Williams innovative, in-office, Sliver Blepharoplasty procedure that was performed under local anesthesia with very minimal recovery time. This patient at the age of 30 decide to have blepharoplasty. She had Graves' disease which made her eyes look much older and when she was treated she was still left with the bags on her lower eyes and upper eyes. Using the transconjunctival conjunctival approach to the lower lid we addressed the bags in the upper eyelid skin. She really wanted to share her story and photos so that it might help someone else who was struggling to make a decision for having blepharoplasty.

Blepharoplasty is a facial plastic surgery procedure to remove excess fat, skin, and muscle from the upper and/or lower eyelids. Our Blepharoplasty Gallery showcases our patients looking more refreshed & youthful than before

The results of blepharoplasty are eyes and eyelids that are no longer droopy, wrinkled, or puffy.

Eyelid surgery may be performed on the upper eyelids, the lower eyelids, or both.

At the Plastic Surgery Center at Williams, Dr. Edwin Williams performs the “sliver technique” on the eyelids. This removes loose, excess skin which can make someone look like they are aged and constantly tired.

This is an office procedure that can be performed under local anesthesia and does not require extensive recovery. Work and most normal activities can be resumed after a week to ten days.
