As the procedure can be performed under local anesthesia, patients can often go home the same day and have an expected recovery time of one to two weeks.

Lower blepharoplasty can treat under-eye bags and puffiness and is a purely cosmetic procedure. Anesthesia is used during this surgery and the incisions are made inside your lower eyelid to remove the excess skin and fat.  Recovery time is slightly longer and can take a few weeks.
