This is a gentleman who presented with difficulty breathing. He was also becoming the source of ridicule for having a condition of the nose that is described as Rhinophyma. It is basically an overgrowth of soft tissue of the nose that is associated with the condition known as acne rosacea with a predilection of occurrence more commonly in men. This gentleman underwent removal of his Rhinophyma and nasal reconstruction with septal cartilage to not only improve his condition but help him breathe. Both were accomplished and he was extremely pleased and he had an overall very good cosmetic result.

This patient did extensive research on a Rhinoplasty Specialist and discovered Dr. Edwin Williams.  After meeting with him in consultation she decided to move forward with Rhinoplasty Nasal Reconstruction surgery.   Notice the contour of the nose and the smooth, sleek look it has been given after the Rhinoplasty procedure was done.   It gives this patient a whole new look that leaves her with a strong natural profile.  She loves her natural looking results and was happy to share her before and after photos.  

This is a mature woman who has always been very self-conscious about her nose.  During her consultation it was very important to this woman that a very conservative Rhinoplasty was performed.  While some patients want a very significant reduction in the profile, the changes she desired were more consistent with refinement.  As can be seen on the frontal view, there has been some refinement in the area of the nasal tip with the same width of the nose being maintained from top to bottom as one can see on this view.  The profile view shows a strong nose with less projection, a slight amount of rotation and overall much more balance.  The patient was very happy with this outcome and feeling that her nose more likely fits her face at this point.

Rhinoplasty / Nasal Reconstruction. This is a 51 year old woman with both a long-standing nasal obstruction seconday to a septal deviation and a depressed left nasal bone, in addition to a dorsal hump deformity. She underwent nasoseptal reconstrustion and cosmetic Rhinoplasty on 2/27/07. Her lateral view demonstrates reduction of the dorsal hump and her nasal obstruction was relieved following the surgery.

Nasal Tip Refined This patient wanted to change the appearance of her nose while preserving her ethnic characteristics. The patient desired changes in the side and angled views of her nose. This frontal view shows that her nose is long with a wide tip. After surgery, her nasal tip is narrower, with more definition, and is shorter.

Rhinoplasty / Nasal Reconstruction This is a 36 year old woman with a nasal dorsal convexity (dorsal hump), slightly over-projected nasal tip, and tip ptosis. She underwent a Rhinoplasty on 1/24/08. Her post-operative photographs demonstrate correction of the dorsal convexity and subtle reduction in nasal projection.

Rhinoplasty / Nasal Reconstruction This woman desired modest improvement in the width of her nose without removing her ethnic characteristics. This frontal view shows how the nasal line is interrupted by the width of the middle portion of the nose. Following Rhinoplasty the nose now flows from the medial portion of the eyebrow to the tip of the nose.

This is a 56 year old female from Ganesvoort, NY. This a middle-aged woman presented to have her upper eyes and brows addressed. She was not only having problems seeing but by the end of most days, she was not only extremely tired but was also tired of looking tired. She did extensive research and sought a consultation with Dr. Williams, an expert in facial rejuvenation. Her issues were primarily confined to the upper eyes and forehead, so she underwent an upper eyelid tuck and forehead lift, which is commonly referred to as a brow lift procedure. This procedure was performed using an endoscopic technique, whereby very small incisions in the scalp were used to lift and elevate the forehead and brow tissue back where it belonged. A small sliver was also taken from her upper eyelids. The patient is extremely pleased with the outcome of her surgery and feels that her results look very natural and not overdone, which is exactly what she wanted and the reason that she chose Dr. William’s to perform her surgery. This patient is a 55 year old women from Albany, NY. This is a patient who had a lift by Dr. Williams almost 20 years ago, but she came back for an additional browlift and it was recommended that she have an upper and lower eyelid blepharoplasty with fat grafting as well as a lower mid-face lift. She is here 1 year after the procedure and is extremely pleased with the results and has even stated jokingly that now she has “younger men hitting on her!”. This patient was once again extremely pleased with her experience here at the William Center but even more so with the very natural results that highlighted her eyes and natural beauty.

As you can see in this picture, this patient has what is referred to as a heavy brow. In the before picture, you are not able to see her upper eyelids, due to not only excess skin on her upper lids, but also because her brow has dropped. In the after picture you can now see her upper eyelids and her brow was restored to a more youthful look. An upper eyelid blepharoplasty was performed at the same time.
