Volume loss combined with laxity of the skin shows increased signs of aging. This patient smoked for a number of years and we will often see patients look 10 to 15 years older as a result of this. Our lower eye lids are usually the first area that the signs of aging are seen. We sometimes look as though we have dark circles under our eyes. This is caused by a combination of things that occur as we age. Our skin looses its elasticity or stretch and we lose the volume in our face. After an incision was made right under her eyelashes of the lower eyelid a small amount of excess skin was removed. Fat transfers were placed in tiny droplettes deep within the muscle to fill in the hollow area under her eyes and along her cheekbone.

Aging of the eyelids really adds to our appearance of looking tired. An upper and lower lid Blepharoplasty along with fat transfer to the lower lids was performed.

This patient wanted to improve the lower 1/3 of her face which included her jowls and neck. While the weekend lift improves the jowls it does not affect the neck. Dr. Williams offered to this patient an extended weekend lift which not only addresses the jowls but also the neck. Not all patients are candidates for the extended weekend lift. This patient had a small amount of fat removed from the area of the belly button. Dr Williams then places it deep within the muscle following the natural structure of your face. Volume loss in the face is part of the natural aging process. In this patient, fat was placed in the lower eyelids, midface, along the jaw line and around the mouth. She also had an upper and lower lid Blepharoplasty. Both Upper and Lower eyelid surgical cosmetic procedure was performed to give this patient a more rested, younger and natural look. A tiny incision was made at the crease of the upper eyelid and just under her eyelashes on the lower lids to remove a small amount of skin. Fat transfer was also performed in the lower lid, midface areas.

This woman was concerned about the hollow appearance in the lower eyelid area and around her mouth. She was bothered by the amount of aging under her eyes. After consulting with Dr. Williams she elected to have a lower eyelid blepharoplasty with fat injections (fat contouring) to the lower eyelids, midface, prejowl and perioral areas. Following the procedure she was so pleased with her rested, youthful appearance she said, "Dr. Williams....he's great!" This patient had some of the protruding fat in her lower eyelids removed along with fat sculpting in her face. The small amount of fat is generally removed from the abdomen and artistically placed for a youthful appearance.

Part of the aging process is loss of volume or fat. It is important to replace that loss to achieve a rested look. Fat transfers can basically last for years; unfortunately, we continue to lose fat as we age. Looking at this patient’s results you can see the deep indented area under her eyes is filled in, softer appearing and her cheeks have more definition. She also had a upper and lower lid blepharoplasty.

An incision was made on the inside of the lower lid & bulging fat was removed. Fat was then transferred form the abdomen to the hollowed out area under her eyes. A small incision was placed under her eyelashes on her lower eyelid and a small amount of excess skin was removed. This area was then sutured with a very fine suture. The patient was very pleased with her natural appearing outcome, not looking tired anymore!

Puffiness under the eyes is a common complaint. A small amount of fat was removed from the lower eyelids and fat transfers from the inner thigh were placed under the eyes where she had hollowness combinations of different techniques are performed for our patient individual needs. In addressing her upper lids a small amount of skin was removed and fat transfers were performed which improved on her deep set eyes.

Combined cosmetic procedures were performed to achieve this rested refreshed look. A small opening was made on the inner thigh to obtain the fat to be transferred to the face. Fat transfers can cause more bruising and swelling that can lead to a little more healing time. This patient also had an Extended Weekend Lift, Chemical Peel and Blepharoplasty (lower eyelid surgery).
