Dr. Williams remembers seeing this sweet patient in consultation. Like many patients that we see who have considerable aging, she not only had tiredness appearing around her eyes, but had a very heavy neck and jawline. Her main goal was that she wanted to feel better about herself but didn’t want to look pulled or overdone. She was concerned about looking natural. After doing her research, she decided to come in for a consultation to discuss her options for facial rejuvenation. We used computerized imaging to allow her to get a good feel for what she might be able to achieve. He performed an Extended Deep Plane Facelift. This procedure is done in conjunction with a Blepharoplasty, which addresses the loose skin in the patient's upper and lower eyelids. Through the Extended Deep Plane Facelift approach, he was able to reduce and remove her buccal fat pads to help give her a much more youthful appearance around her mouth and jawline. As you can see from her oblique view, we have restored her cheek volume, lifted the area, and addressed her neckline. He is very happy for this patient and feels as though she looks 20 years younger. This patient had done extensive research before consulting with Dr. Williams. She wanted a refreshed look and was bothered by her heavy neck. She also felt like she had lost her jawline with jowls framing her mouth making her look sad, old, and tired. We did not change the shape of her eyes at all because that doesn't look natural. She also had an Extended Deep Plane Facelift which elevated the cheeks, cleaned up the jawline to give her a much more youthful appearance. She says she now looks like she feels inside.
