This man is in his early fifties and decided that he wanted to get rid of the tired look that he had under his eyes. He decided to have a cosmetic surgery procedure called a Lower Lid Blepharoplasty and Fat Contouring. A small amount of bulging fat was removed and fat obtained from the area around his belly button was artistically placed where he had hollowness. Excess skin on his lower lids was removed. This picture (on right) was taken early post operatively and shows the slight incision line on the lower lid that will fade with time.

Dr. Williams performed Carbon Dioxide Laser and full face fat transfers to achieve a natural young appearance. The laser smoothed out wrinkles and the fat transfer helped to plump them up. It is a known fact that as we age we lose fat in our faces. Upper and Lower Eyelid Blepharoplasty with Fat Transfers accomplished these results.  A tiny incision was made along the crease of the upper eyelid to remove some excess skin which allowed more of a show of the upper lids. The lower eyelids can be improved upon threw a number of different techniques. Dr. Williams specializing in these procedures opted to remove a little fat that was protruding in the wrong area under the eyes and replaced and sculpted the hollow area with fat transfers. “No matter how great my make-up, hair and clothes looked, I always looked tired. Combination of different procedures are often performed to achieve the look the patient wants. Fat transfers (lipo transfers) under her eyes, midface (cheeks) and around her mouth helped to replenish volume that is lost through the natural aging process. Threadlifting of the midface and neck helped to lift the skin. Dr. Williams no longer offers the threadlift procedure as on option to current patients. He feels that there are other options which yield longer lasting results with more minimal downtime.

This patient wanted to improve the lower 1/3 of her face which included her jowls and neck. While the weekend lift improves the jowls it does not affect the neck. Dr. Williams offered to this patient an extended weekend lift which not only addresses the jowls but also the neck. Not all patients are candidates for the extended weekend lift. This patient had a small amount of fat removed from the area of the belly button. Dr Williams then places it deep within the muscle following the natural structure of your face. Volume loss in the face is part of the natural aging process. In this patient, fat was placed in the lower eyelids, midface, along the jaw line and around the mouth. She also had an upper and lower lid Blepharoplasty.

This patient wanted to improve the tired look she had caused by a combination of loose skin and the loss of volume (fat) in her lower eyelid and midface area. She decided to have a plastic surgery procedure called a lower blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery). This patient also has festoons. This is caused from a laxity in the muscle in the upper eyelid that works to hold the eyelid open. An upper lid Blepharoplasty removes excess skin. In order to improve the laxity in the muscle a different procedure to tighten the muscle would have had to be performed, of which the patient decided not to have done.
