This is a 53 year old male from Schoharie, New York. This patient had a Rhinoplasty by another surgeon and was left with a crooked and ill-defined nose. After having a Revision Rhinoplasty by Dr. Williams, at his Latham, New York practice, his nose is more defined and symmetric. The nose has a low starting point, lasks definition and appears over-projected in the lower 2/3 of the nose. The nose, now has a higher starting point which gives a more natural and balanced appearance. The patient’s nose had a weak profile in the upper portion which makes the tip look overprojected. By restoring the strength to the profile by dorsal augmentation has now has a more masculine nose that is in proportion to his face.

Dr. Williams performed a Revision Rhinoplasty on this woman after having had Rhinoplasty 18 years ago by another physician. She was unhappy with the appearance of her nose. It was weak and poorly defined. Dr. Williams performed rib and ear cartilage grafting to rebuild and reshape her nose. This is a 24 year old young woman from Syracuse, NY close to our Albany, NY location. This patient sustained a significant amount of trauma due to her career as a gymnast. This left her with a fairly significant loss in her profile which is more commonly referred to as a saddle nose deformity. This young women underwent a reconstructive rhinoplasty with conchal cartilage grafting(ear cartilage) since she did not have a sufficient amount of cartilage from her septum to rebuild of her nose. Her septum was severely deviated and this was also fixed to allow her a better breathing result. The front and oblique view are shown with pre and post operative result.

This patient had a very crooked nose and also had severe difficulty breathing through her nose. Also on the profile view she had a very droopy nasal tip with a hanging columellar (medical terms) which is essentially a large exposure of the left nostril margin making her nostrils look rounded and enlarged. Because this patient had previous nasal surgery with virtually no cartilage to rebuild her nose a Revision Rhinoplasty was performed and in this particular patient this was accomplished using rib cartilage (costal cartilage) through a small incision along the edge of her chest. This patients nose is much straighter, aesthetically much more pleasing and more importantly for the patient she is now able to breathe out of both sides of her nose. “Thank You, Dr. Williams I’m breathing better, no nose bleeds and noticed an immediate difference right after surgery, very pleased.”

This patient presented with long-standing complaints of not being able to breathe from her nose as well as dissatisfaction with the nasal appearance. Following nasal reconstruction and Rhinoplasty, her nose appears more in harmony with her face and her nasal breathing is restored. This goal was accomplished by repairing her deviated nasal septum and rebuilding the nose in a straight, more mid-lined position, using cartilage that was obtained from her deviated nasal septum and referred to as “spreadergrafts”to help stabilize the nose. Her nose is straighter with correction of the sidewall collapse and the breathing problem that occurred on her left side is corrected.

This patient had a previous Rhinoplasty for a broad nose by another surgeon. She was unhappy with the result. The following three views show a very broad nose with an amorphous tip. Especially on the lateral view, the nose is rounded and convex rather than slightly concave. Following surgery the nose is smaller, more refined and on the lateral view has a more pleasing configuration. This oblique view of the same patient shows the improvement in nasal appearance following surgery. This lateral view highlights the improvement in the dorsal nasal contour.

The patient had a previous attempt at repair by another surgeon prior to seeing Dr. Williams. Her nose is crooked and deviated to her right side, as a result of fractured nasal bones. This is a very delightful middle age women of Hispanic descent who has been very bothered by her nose. She wanted the closed approach to Rhinoplasty so she could avoid the incision at the base of her nose and the prolonged swelling. After extensive research, she found Rhinoplasty Specialist, Dr. Williams located in Latham, New York, who performed a Rhinoplasty, not only taking her hump down but fixed her drooping tip by using a shield graft strusts and very small rim graft. The tip has been rebalanced and she is thrilled with her new profile. She even feels her front view looks more improved and a lot less bulbus. She felt that she had a droopy tip and a large hump which did not look attractive or feminine; especially when she was viewed by her profile or angled view. She decided to proceed with the Rhinoplasty procedure and is shown in this photo at just seven weeks after surgery. The patient knows that she will see more improvement over time and that the tip will become much more refined once all of the remaining swelling subsides. This patient had the Closed Nasal Approach Rhinoplasty, which is often referred to the scarless approach. She was not necessarily interested in big cosmetic changes but did have a nose that truly looked like it had been broken in the past as it had been. On the front views you can see she has somewhat of a bulbous tip and a loss of height with a small saddle-nose deformity as well as a bump on profile. After Rhinoplasty her nose was brought in better alignment with somewhat less droopy tip, a more feminine profile and a slight refinement of the tip. Here she is at one year and she can now breathe as well as being very pleased with the overall cosmetic outcome.
