This is a 32 year old woman from Schenectady, New York who had been bothered by the appearance of her nose for quite some time but finally made a decision to have the Closed or Endonasal Rhinoplasty performed by Dr. Edwin Williams theRhinoplasty Specialist. She was very pleased with her experience and results. These pictures were taken two months after having her Cosmetic Rhinoplasty. Some swelling is still present and it can take up to one full year to see the final result from her surgery. This is a 60-year-old female from Amsterdam, NY who presented to Dr.Edwin Williams, The Face Specialist at his Latham, New York clinic for a Facelift. She found Dr. Williams to be warm, friendly, and knew that he would give her the most natural result without her neck looking "pulled." She proceeded with a Weekend/Neck Lift which is a Deep Plane Facelift including a mid-facelift, lower facelift and neck lift with Facial Liposuction and Fat Transfer. She also had a TCA Chemical Peel to help the wrinkles that were around her mouth and cheek areas and the uneven pigmentation. She could not say enough about the care she received at the Williams Plastic Surgery Specialists and after returning back from Florida came in for a post-operative visit and offered to share her experience.

This is a 27 year old woman who sustained significant trauma to her nose 2 years prior and underwent a previous Rhinoplasty for attempted correction. She has a leftward deviated nasal dorsum with significant nasal obstruction. She underwent a Rhinoplasty on 04/25/2005. Her post-operative photographs demonstrate correction of the nasal deformity with straightening of the nasal dorsum.

This patient had a previous Rhinoplasty for a broad nose by another surgeon. She was unhappy with the result. The following three views show a very broad nose with an amorphous tip. Especially on the lateral view, the nose is rounded and convex rather than slightly concave. Following surgery the nose is smaller, more refined and on the lateral view has a more pleasing configuration. This oblique view of the same patient shows the improvement in nasal appearance following surgery. This lateral view highlights the improvement in the dorsal nasal contour.

This is a patient who was initially seen for recurrent sinus infections and breathing difficulty. She also desired a subtle change in her nose. Her nose was crooked and off to her right side with some contour irregularities that could be easily seen on frontal view. The profile view revealed some notching of her nostril and what is commonly referred to as a ‘subtle polly-beak deformity’. This patient underwent nasal reconstruction for the breathing issue associated with her deviated nasal septum as well as a subtle rhinoplasty. On the profile view one can see a very subtle improvement with realignment of the profile of the nose and subtle correction of the nostril notching. On the angle view there is a very subtle but definite improvement in the profile and nostril orientation resulting in her nose appearing somewhat more balanced against the remainder of her facial features. The frontal view also shows a much more symmetrically aligned nose that is straight. This was performed using an endonasal or closed approach resulting in less recovery and healing. This is a middle-aged gentleman who was tired of co-workers asking him if he was tired all of the time. He had excess skin on the upper eyes with bags and puffiness on upper and lower eyelids. He also had excess skin and wrinkling with volumetric loss in the mid-face. This gentleman underwent a Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty where by Dr. Williams performed removal of fat from the most central pockets of his upper eyes with skin excess removed incision placed in the super torso crease. The lower eyelid creased he used a transconjunctival lower eyelid approach with a sliver technique as well as fat grafting of the upper eyelids to achieve a more youthful natural contour of the midface. He was very concerned he did not want the shape of his eye changed and Dr. Williams achieved his goal. Here he is seen in his photographs approximately 1 year after his surgery

This patient complains of difficulty breathing through her nose and has a nasal deformity as a result of domestic violence. The patient had a previous attempt at repair by another surgeon prior to seeing Dr. Williams. Her nose is crooked and deviated to her right side, as a result of fractured nasal bones. Notice the straightening of the nose and the stronger appearance after nasal reconstructive surgery. Also notice the nostrils are less visible on the frontal view.

This is a 42 year old female from Ravena, NY close to our Albany, NY location. This is a young woman who was very unhappy with the appearance of her nose on profile examination. Not only did she have a bump she had a somewhat bulbous tip and a hanging columella. This is manifested by the patient having what appears to have a very wide nostril when indeed it is a dependent intermediate lower lateral cartilage crux. She underwent Rhinoplasty through an endonasal (closed approach) whereby the profile was addressed as well as the nostril base. As you can see on this profile examination she has a nose that fits her face and is aesthetically much more pleasing.

Patient has a deviation of the lower 1/3 of her nose and a well defined nasal tip. This patient also has a deviated nasal septum. A Rhinoplasty was performed and the deviated nasal septum was repaired at the same time. The lower 1/3 of the nose is more mid-lined with an improved nasal tip definition after rebuilding the nose straight using cartilage from the patient’s deviated nasal septum. She has a slight increase in tip rotation giving her a more feminine look. Patient has deviation of the lower 1/3 and a well defined nasal tip. This patient also has a deviated nasal septum. A Rhinoplasty was performed and the deviated nasal septum was repaired at the same time. The lower 1/3 of the nose is more mid-lined with an improved nasal tip definition after rebuilding the nose straight using cartilage from the patient’s deviated nasal septum. Now the “hump”has been reduced as well as the projection. Additionally, she has a slight increase in tip rotation giving her a more feminine look.

This is a 32 year old women from Perry, NY close to our Albany, NY location. This patient came to our practice who had breathing problems and was interested in Rhinoplasty. She has always been very self-conscious of her profile and the appearance of her nose. This women underwent Rhinoplasty. As you can see, i would describe her nose on profile view as over-projected with a ptotic and very short protruding nose. The nose was lifted slightly and the profile was aligned to make it more aesthetically pleasing. There is also very significant improvement on her frontal view and her angle view making her nose look much less harsh or less severe. This patient had this accomplishment by having the deviated septum repaired as well as the internal nasal valves and now has very good breathing out of both sides of her nose.

This is a 24 year old young woman from Syracuse, NY close to our Albany, NY location. This patient sustained a significant amount of trauma due to her career as a gymnast. This left her with a fairly significant loss in her profile which is more commonly referred to as a saddle nose deformity. This young women underwent a reconstructive rhinoplasty with conchal cartilage grafting(ear cartilage) since she did not have a sufficient amount of cartilage from her septum to rebuild of her nose. Her septum was severely deviated and this was also fixed to allow her a better breathing result. The front and oblique view are shown with pre and post operative result.

This is a 58 year old female who traveled to our Albany, NY location from Durham, NC. Dr. Williams preformed a revision rhinoplasty on this woman after having had rhinoplasty 18 years ago by another physician. She was unhappy with the appearance of her nose. It was weak and poorly defined. Dr. Williams performed rib and ear cartilage grafting to rebuild and reshape her nose. She is now extremely happy with her result. The revision cosmetic rhinoplasty gave this patient a strong, straight well defined profile. Notice the tip position that this patient has and the nostril is also less notched. The base of the nose width and height are now more symmetric and the nostrils are not as wide. The tip is sharper and more projected.
